In-House Dental Laboratory

Our private, in-house dental laboratory is an important feature of our practice, and separates this practice from 98% of dental practices.
We employ several full-time technicians in our dental lab. They assist Dr. Henke in many facets of tooth restoration and implant fabrication. All facets of the fabrication of your final restorations are accomplished ‘in-house’ in order to ensure that the highest quality materials and attention to detail are looked after.

There are many situations when having an in-house laboratory is especially beneficial for our patients. For example, take the case of a complicated front tooth: The ability to build customized crowns and make adjustments while the patient is in the dentist’s working space is invaluable. Likewise, the in-house lab simplifies those challenging color matches. Instead of taking pictures and traveling to an off-site laboratory for adjustments to contours or shades, our in-house lab allows the technician to see the patient in person. This firsthand interaction enables us to quickly and efficiently select the shade that provides a perfect match.

Sometimes timing and travel requirements can complicate a patient’s situation. In instances where these factors come into play, our facilities afford us an edge. Since we have control over the laboratory’s processes, we can tailor the time frame to suit almost any special circumstance. This ability sets us apart from most other dental practices.

When implant surgery is planned by Dr. Henke, a surgical guide is fabricated in the laboratory. This allows Dr. Henke the chance to perform a mock surgery on a model first. He can walk through the steps and ensure that the guide position for the implant is accurate.
